A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in an elementary school setting. This contract position spans from ASAP through June 13, 2026, with an Extended School Year (ESY) commitment from June 22 to July 22, 2026. The SLP will provide therapeutic services to a caseload of 25-30 students ranging from preschool through 5th grade across two school buildings in Emeryville, CA.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for speech and language disorders
- Ability to manage a caseload of 25-30 students effectively
- Excellent communication skills and collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to preschool through 5th-grade students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech goals within classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing appropriate accommodations and modifications
Details:
- Scheduled hours: Negotiable, with an expected 20-25 hours per week
- Days per week: Flexible and can be discussed
- Interview availability: Afternoons next week
- Teletherapy: Not considered for this position
