School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - San Mateo, California
A K-12 school in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role is ideal for professionals holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology with experience in educational settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations and individualized therapy to students K-12.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support students’ communication goals.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working as an SLP in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development as well as disorders relevant to children and adolescents.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently within a school environment.
