A contract Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to support K-12 students in the Washington DC area, approximately 45 minutes south of DC. This full-time, Monday through Friday role offers a caseload focused primarily on elementary and middle school students, with assignments limited to no more than two schools per clinician. Part-time candidates are also considered if available for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students within the assigned schools
- Manage a caseload typically around 50 students, with a maximum of 55
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Complete necessary documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in supervision arrangements if hired as a Clinical Fellow (CF)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred; CFs will be considered with supervision provided
- Experience working with school-aged children is advantageous but not mandatory
- Virginia Department of Social Services background check and TB test required before starting
- Willingness to work on-site; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) may be considered; interested candidates should submit resumes for review
