School-Based SLP | Fredericksburg, Virginia
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Fredericksburg, VA area serving local K-12 schools on a contract basis for the current school year. This role requires active Virginia SLP licensure and offers a caseload of up to 55 students, primarily in elementary and middle school settings. Part-time candidates are also encouraged to apply if able to commit to at least 20 hours per week.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold an active Virginia SLP license or be a Clinical Fellow (CF) with supervision provided
- Experience working with children in a K-12 school setting preferred but not required
- Ability to manage a caseload focused on elementary and middle school students (typical caseload size ~50)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within school teams
- Flexibility to be assigned to no more than two different schools depending on fit
Location and Schedule:
- Position based onsite only in Fredericksburg, VA with assignments typically within the Washington DC metropolitan area
- Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week with potential part-time consideration (minimum 20 hours/week)
- Contract duration through the end of the school year with a start date as soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K-12 students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student success
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines
