Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Elgin, IL

Compensation Packages
Local Candidates (Hourly Pay): $53-$62
Travel Candidates (Weekly Take-Home Pay): $1719-$2094

Speech-Language Pathologist Job Duties

Conduct assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication needs

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
-
Provide direct and consultative therapy services in school settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress

Monitor and document progress toward communication goals

Provide training and resources to staff and families on speech and language development

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Current Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility)

Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs may be considered

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Illinois school districts
