A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position within an elementary school setting in Plano, TX. This role involves covering two maternity leaves and requires onsite presence at multiple school locations, serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to a combined caseload of approximately 101 students across two campuses.
- Manage therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs, including those in PreK-3rd grade and K-5th grade.
- Coordinate schedules effectively, including traveling to an additional campus for two half days per week.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement communication goals.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with district standards.
Qualifications:
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Preferred certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Candidates holding Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology student (CF) status must have an approved supervision arrangement prior to starting, as the district does not provide supervision.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students is highly desirable.
- Ability to organize and manage caseload independently across multiple school sites.
Location:
- The position is based in Plano, TX, with assignments primarily at Independence Elementary and Old Settlers Elementary, and occasional sessions at Southridge Elementary.
Additional Information:
- Full-time commitment: 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract duration covering current school year, with immediate start preferred for the first maternity leave.
- Onsite work required; remote arrangements are not available.
