A full-time role is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a K-8 school environment serving primarily pre-kindergarten through 5th-grade students. This position is a contract for the 2025-2026 school year, with the assignment extending until early June 2026 following the academic calendar. The role requires on-site presence with no remote or hybrid options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology evaluations and therapy for students in early childhood and elementary grades.
- Manage caseloads that include students in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) units and early childhood education programs.
- Provide direct speech-language services and collaborate with school staff and families.
- Support Head Start off-site programs as part of the outreach.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) if assigned, ensuring professional development and adherence to standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially within K-8 settings.
- Ability to work independently on-site, often as the sole SLP present.
- Willingness to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time across multiple locations if preferred.
- Familiarity with ASD-related speech and language interventions is a strong asset.
Locations and Assignments:
- Primary full-time assignment at Northport VPK-8 with a focus on pre-K to 5th grade.
- Optional part-time work available at FK Sweet Elementary, Palm Pointe K-8 (an SLPA may be supported here), and middle schools with ASD units.
- Caseload and school assignments vary but typically involve one main campus.
