School Speech Language Pathologist - Fort Myers, Florida
A growing K-12 school district in Fort Myers, FL is seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position is full-time with 37.5 hours per week, and part-time opportunities may also be available. Candidates will serve multiple schools primarily located in the East Zone (Lehigh Acres area), with assignments potentially stretching as far south as Lexington Middle School near Naples.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy services to students across various grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Managing caseloads that vary by school assignment
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Documenting and reporting on student performance in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Potentially supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), where applicable
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or state licensure in speech-language pathology
- Credentials as an SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or Certificate of Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF) are required
- Experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with educational settings is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential
