Located in Fort Myers, FL, this full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity offers a dynamic setting serving K-12 students throughout multiple school locations. This contract position runs through the 2025-2026 school year with a start date as soon as possible and an end date of June 1, 2026. The role requires 37.5 hours per week with potential part-time options available.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students across various age groups and grade levels in multiple school locations, predominantly in the East Zone near Lehigh Acres, extending as far south as Lexington Middle School.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote effective communication skills and academic success.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Potentially supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) if applicable.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or license in speech-language pathology.
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship completion (SLP-CF).
- Experience and comfort working in school settings with varied caseloads.
- Willingness to work on-site exclusively.
