School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time | Local W-2 or Travel Contract Options
Pay Range: $38–$52+/hour (based on experience and employment path)

Blazer Jobs is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join a dedicated team supporting a school district in the Fort Myers, FL area. This full-time position is open to both local candidates seeking a traditional school-year role and traveling clinicians interested in flexible, short-term contracts with competitive pay and benefits.

Position Overview:
As a school-based SLP, you will provide speech and language therapy services to students ranging from early childhood through high school. You will conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), deliver direct therapy, and collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to help students thrive.

Employment Options:

1. Local Path (W-2 through Blazer Jobs):

  • Steady, school-year placement with support throughout the academic term

  • Weekly pay: $38–$45/hour depending on experience, credentials, and district placement

2. Travel Path (W-2 with Stipends):

  • Flexible, travel-friendly contracts (9–10 months with option to renew)

  • Housing and meal stipends available for qualified travelers

  • Travel and relocation reimbursement

  • Weekly gross: $1,700–$2,100 based on experience and allowable tax-free reimbursements

  • Hourly pay equivalent: $45–$52+/hour depending on placement and tax status

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for K–12 students

  • Deliver individual and small-group therapy sessions in accordance with IEP goals

  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and progress review meetings

  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state reporting requirements

  • Collaborate with other related service providers and educational staff

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • Active Florida SLP license or eligibility to obtain

  • ASHA CCC preferred; clinical fellows (CFs) will be considered with supervision

  • Prior school-based experience strongly preferred

  • Must pass background and fingerprint checks
