Position Overview

  • District: The School District of Lee County

  • Location: Fort Myers, FL

  • Discipline: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or CF)

  • Start Date: August 11, 2025

  • End Date: June 1, 2026

  • Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week

  • Assignment: Onsite only (no virtual, no hybrid, no SLPAs)

  • Number of Openings: 30

  • Campus Assignments: Multiple locations available across the district

  • Caseload: Varies by site; K–12


Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech/language therapy services

  • Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEPs

  • Maintain compliant documentation and progress tracking

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families

  • Participate in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary support teams


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • Active Florida SLP License and/or valid FL DOE teaching certification

  • ASHA CCCs preferred; CFs welcome (supervision provided)

  • Prior school-based experience is a bonus—but not required
