Speech-Language Pathologist Job Duties

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students

Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and therapy plans

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
-
Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements

Provide consultation and training for staff and families on communication strategies and assistive technologies
Federal and State Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Active North Carolina SLP license required
-
ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred; CFs encouraged to apply
-
Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred

Must pass all background checks and clearances as required by North Carolina school districts
