A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in El Paso, TX, serving students from PreK through 12th grade. This contract position offers full-time hours with some part-time consideration for candidates able to work full days. The primary assignment focuses on high school students requiring comprehensive speech services to address a missed service year, including IEP support and caseload management. An alternative assignment is available for K–8 students, where services have been delayed approximately one month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students within assigned grades
- Manage a high caseload, including addressing service backlogs and coordinating communication services
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement IEPs and track student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings
- Manage caseloads of up to 64 students in the high school setting or 40 students in the K–8 setting
Qualifications:
- Current State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required
- Ability to provide documentation of licensure upon request
- Experience working in school environments preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload complexity
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous but not required
Location:
- Assignments are located within the Socorro Independent School District in El Paso, Texas
- Primary sites are either south of I-10 in the Lower Valley or northeast of I-10, depending on the assignment selected
