Position Overview
We are hiring a dynamic, certified Speech–Language Pathologist to provide intervention and support to K–12 students with speech, language, and communication needs. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, families, and related service professionals to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), assessments, and therapy services.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, fluency, and voice evaluations for referred students K–12.

Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs that align with student needs and district goals.

Provide direct, evidence-based therapy services (individually or in small groups).

Track and document student progress toward goals and report to IEP teams.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to integrate speech/language strategies into the general education setting.

Communicate regularly with families to discuss student progress, goals, and resources.

Participate actively in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.

Maintain compliance with federal (IDEA), state (OSPI), and district requirements.
Required Qualifications

Valid Washington State SLP certificate (or eligibility to become certified).

Master’s degree in Speech–Language Pathology from an accredited university.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, but not required.

Experience working with school-aged children across K–12 required.

Knowledge of IDEA, state assessment procedures, and IEP processes.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Ability to provide culturally responsive services within a diverse, rural school community.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in rural school settings.

Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.

Ability to conduct therapy using tele-practice technology when needed.
Caseload & Resources

Typical caseload: 45–60 students, depending on needs and service frequency.

Fully equipped therapy rooms and access to district speech/language tools, apps, and standardized assessments.

Supportive team including special educators, occupational therapists, school psychologists, and counselors.
