A rewarding contract opportunity is available at multiple school locations throughout El Dorado County, CA, serving students from PreK through adult transition programs. This role offers an engaging experience working with diverse caseloads ranging from mild to moderate, with occasional severe cases. The district spans a wide geographic area including El Dorado Hills, Camino, and surrounding communities, requiring a willingness to travel and adapt to changing assignments within the semester.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech therapy services across multiple school sites as an itinerant professional.
  • Support PreK to adult transition programming.
  • Maintain caseloads that vary by assignment, with experience preferred in mild to moderate cases and some severe caseloads.
  • Work onsite exclusively; remote options are not available.
  • Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) on site as needed.
  • Collaborate with schools on speech and language plans, assessments, and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with California SLP licensure requirements and state educational standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC-SLP preferred).
  • Experience in California schools and familiarity with SEIS.
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel regularly within El Dorado County, including occasional trips near Lake Tahoe and Sacramento.
  • Ability to manage caseloads and adapt to itinerant work demands.
  • Comfortable providing onsite supervision for CFs and SLPAs if applicable.

Location: This position is based in Citrus Heights, CA, with assignments in multiple locations throughout El Dorado County.
