Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Citrus Heights, California
A school district in Citrus Heights, California, is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time contract position during the current school year. This role is ideal for an SLP who thrives in an elementary school setting and has experience working with pediatric populations and school-age children.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments and therapy for a caseload of approximately 18 elementary students, with the potential for caseload growth.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student services and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute professional expertise to support student success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist credential appropriate for school settings.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly desirable.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in schools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff effectively.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while providing high-quality therapy.
Location: Elementary school setting in Citrus Heights, CA
Employment Type: Part-time contract (40%-45% FTE) for the current school year
