Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Kentucky Speech-Language Pathology licensure required
- School-based experience preferred; experience in elementary, middle, or high school settings a plus
- Strong understanding of various communication, speech, and language disorders
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and individualized therapy plans
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy methods for varying age groups and learning needs
- Skilled in documentation and progress monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reporting
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Educate school staff and caregivers about speech and language interventions and strategies
- Travel between school sites within the district as needed
