Travel School Speech Pathology | Flint, Michigan
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are sought for onsite positions in Flint, Michigan, with travel assignments also available across Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit. These roles focus on delivering essential speech and language therapy services to K-12 students in school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy addressing speech and language needs of eligible students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate communication strategies into classroom activities.
- Develop and implement annual goals and objectives for students, and actively participate in IEP and MET meetings.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including progress reports and compliance records.
- Work with team members to identify and refer students needing additional speech or language support.
- Provide professional development and training to school staff on language development and best practices.
- Conduct evaluations and write reports to assess speech, language, voice, or oral motor impairments for special education eligibility.
- Support students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems across school and home settings.
- Manage therapy equipment and materials to ensure availability and organization.
- Travel between assigned schools within districts to meet student needs.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan; temporary license holders (CFYs) may be considered if supervised.
- Experience working with diverse urban student populations, with knowledge of relevant resources.
- Prior school-based experience preferred.
- Ability to work onsite full-time (35 hours per week).
- University transcripts required before candidate presentation.
