Remote Speech Language Pathologist - Flint MI Virtual Schools
VocoVision is building a roster of Michigan-licensed SLPs for virtual positions throughout the state; we specialize in remote speech therapy placements that let you serve students from anywhere. These teletherapy roles typically span 35-37.5 hours per week with caseloads of 45-55 students across elementary and secondary grade levels.
Position Highlights
You'll provide comprehensive speech and language services through secure video platforms, addressing articulation disorders, language delays, fluency challenges, voice concerns, pragmatic language difficulties, and AAC implementation. Sessions include individual therapy, small group interventions, and collaborative consultation with teachers and families.
What the Role Involves
Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and write detailed assessment reports / Develop IEP goals and therapy plans based on evaluation findings / Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions via teletherapy platforms using engaging digital materials / Monitor student progress through data collection and adjust treatment approaches accordingly / Collaborate with special education teams, classroom teachers, and related service providers / Provide consultation and training to educators on communication strategies and accommodations / Communicate regularly with families about therapy goals and home practice activities / Maintain compliance with all documentation requirements and state regulations / Participate in IEP meetings and eligibility determination conferences.
Required Credentials
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) — Active Michigan speech-language pathology license — Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders — Minimum 2 years of experience providing speech therapy in school settings — Proficiency with teletherapy technology and virtual service delivery models — Strong organizational and time management skills for remote caseload management — Excellent interpersonal abilities for building rapport with students and families through digital platforms.
