Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Federal Way, WA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is now available in a K-12 school setting in Federal Way, WA. This contract role focuses on supporting students from TK to 5th grade at an elementary school. The position offers a structured schedule with student hours from 9:15 AM to 3:50 PM, and additional time allocated before and after school for essential meetings, including evaluation determination meetings, evaluation result discussions, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and speech therapy services to students ranging from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade.
- Participate in evaluation determination meetings, share evaluation results, and collaborate on IEP development.
- Deliver personalized support aligned with student needs to improve speech and communication skills.
- Maintain timely documentation and compliance with educational and therapeutic standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred).
- Experience working in school settings with K-5 students.
- Ability and willingness to provide services in-person, replacing a prior remote provider.
- Strong communication skills and collaboration with school staff and families.
