- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Valid North Carolina SLP license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- North Carolina DPI (Department of Public Instruction) licensure is preferred for public school settings
- ASHA CCC strongly preferred, though CFY candidates are welcome to apply
- Ability to pass required background and reference checks
The hired SLP will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication barriers in an educational setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing screenings, evaluations, and assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans and IEPs
- Working closely with teachers and special education teams
- Providing therapy in both one-on-one and small group formats
- Tracking student progress and submitting required documentation
