About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a crucial short-term contract from August 4, 2025, to November 7, 2025, in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to a K-5th grade caseload of approximately 40-50 students within a single school building. Your expertise will be vital in supporting students with diverse needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-5th grade students.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans tailored to address a wide range of communication disorders.
- Providing direct and indirect therapy services to students in individual, small group, and potentially classroom settings, effectively managing a caseload of 40-50 students.
- Specializing in supporting students with diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other related communication impairments.
- Collaborating effectively with general and special education teachers, parents, school psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members within the single school building.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, progress notes, IEPs, and all other required reports.
- Participating actively in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for student success.
- Adapting therapy activities and strategies to suit the developmental stages, learning styles, and diverse needs of elementary-aged students.
- Staying current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology, particularly for students with ASD and ADHD.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Ohio.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is required.
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting with K-5th grade students.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and school-based service delivery models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a full caseload within a limited timeframe.
