Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Virginia SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows considered with supervision provided
- Experience with school-aged children preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain caseloads up to 55 students
- Willingness to undergo VA Department of Social Services background check and TB test
- Open to candidates new to school settings and potentially Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Collaborating with school personnel and families to support students’ communication goals
- Managing and documenting caseloads effectively
- Adhering to all state and local regulations, including credentialing and health requirements
Work Location and Duration:
- Position based in the Washington DC area (approximately 45 minutes south of DC)
- Contract term runs approximately through May of the following year
- On-site work only; no remote or hybrid arrangements available
