A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available with a contract position serving K-12 students in the Washington DC area, approximately 45 minutes south of DC. This role involves working on-site in up to two schools, providing critical speech therapy services to elementary and middle school students. The caseload typically ranges around 50 students, with a maximum of 55. Both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time candidates (minimum 20 hours per week) will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology evaluations and therapy services aligned with student needs.
- Manage caseloads of elementary and middle school students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all applicable regulations.
- Participate in supervision if applicable (for Clinicians in Fellowship).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required; Clinical Fellows will be considered with provided supervision.
- Active Virginia SLP licensure is mandatory.
- Prior school experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidates must be able to pass the VA Department of Social Services background check and complete a TB test.
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) candidates may be considered.
Location:
- Washington DC metropolitan area (approximately 45 minutes south of DC), on-site work only; no remote or hybrid options.
