A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-5th grade students within a K-12 school environment in Bellevue, WA. This leave replacement contract role offers a chance to provide critical speech and language services in a collaborative educational setting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Washington State
- Active Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification
- Experience working with school-age children, ideally K-5th grade
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with educators and families
Position Details:
- Location: Bellevue, Washington
- Job Type: Leave contract
- Duration: Immediate start with an expected end date at the end of January; possibility of extension
- Schedule: 35 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Age Group Served: Kindergarten through 5th grade students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student communication skills
- Document progress and maintain accurate records as per state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
