Speech Language Pathologist in Eugene, OR
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Eugene, OR, providing leave coverage through June 12, 2026. This role is an on-site contract opportunity within the Lane Education Service District’s Speech Language Services, a division supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and adjudicated at-risk youth. The team also offers augmentative communication, behavior consultation, and school psychologist services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Utilize augmentative communication systems, including both low and high-tech options.
- Maintain student records, ensuring confidentiality in compliance with district policies.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff both orally and in writing.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder Endorsement and/or an Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with students with moderate and severe disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with augmentative communication systems.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams.
- May require valid First Aid/CPR certification.
