This full-time Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) position offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized services in Eugene, OR, through a contract role lasting until June 12, 2026. The role involves leave coverage within Lane Education Service District’s Speech Language Services, a vital part of the Special Education Service Area. This area supports students with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional/behavioral challenges, and adjudicated at-risk youth by providing speech therapy alongside augmentative communication, behavior consultation, and psychological services.
Responsibilities include assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders for a diverse caseload of students, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff, and utilizing both low and high tech augmentative communication systems to enhance student outcomes. The position requires consistent onsite work within the district.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder Endorsement and/or Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Proficiency with augmentative communication systems (low and high tech) preferred
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required
