A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide specialized support to rural schools within the Junction City School District, under the Lane Education Service District (Lane ESD) in Eugene, OR. This contract position offers approximately 8 hours per week of on-site engagement from ASAP through June 12, 2026.
Lane ESD Speech Language Services operate within the Special Education Service Area, delivering comprehensive support including school psychology, augmentative communication, behavior consultation, and direct student services. SLP services focus on assisting students with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and adjudicated at-risk youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students within the rural school cooperative.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized student programs.
- Utilize both low and high tech augmentative communication systems as needed.
- Maintain confidential student and family information with professionalism.
- Participate in ongoing communication and teamwork to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder endorsement and/or Oregon State Speech-Language Pathology License.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred.
- Familiarity with augmentative communication systems desirable.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse teams.
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
Location: Eugene, Oregon – on-site position supporting rural schools in the Junction City School District.
