Oregon School-Based Remote SLP Social Communication Interventionist (1099)
We are hiring a Social Communication Interventionist to deliver targeted teletherapy to Oregon students with pragmatic and social communication needs. This 1099 role is ideal for SLPs with a deep understanding of social language and experience working with neurodiverse learners. You’ll work closely with special education teams to address communication challenges related to peer interactions, classroom behavior, and social integration. Your work will directly support students' academic and emotional success. Flexibility, innovation, and collaboration are key in this remote position.
Duties:

Provide virtual therapy for social-pragmatic communication disorders

Design IEP goals related to social language and peer interaction

Use role-play, video modeling, and games in sessions

Collaborate with school psychologists and SEL teams

Support students with ASD and ADHD

Conduct functional communication assessments

Document therapy and progress toward social goals

Train teachers on strategies for social communication support

Facilitate small group therapy for social skill-building

Provide transition planning support for older students

Coordinate generalization of skills to classroom settings

Offer remote workshops for parents and staff

Participate in virtual IEP meetings

Implement tools such as Social Thinking or Zones of Regulation

Maintain confidentiality and documentation integrity

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
