Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – In-Person Assignment in Enfield, CT (Travel Role)
This in-person position is available starting immediately through June 10, 2025, serving Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students across two schools in Enfield, CT. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 35 hours per week. This travel role offers a dynamic educational environment for professionals specializing in pediatric speech-language therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language development.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing to assess student needs.
- Produce clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations.
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives aligned with students' developmental progress.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and peers to discuss students’ progress and support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Hold or qualify for Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) licensure and a teaching certificate from the CT Department of Education (DOE).
- Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) credentials, or School-Based SLP/SLPA credentials preferred.
- Previous school-based experience advantageous but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities to adapt to varied educational settings.
