Travel Speech Language Pathologist in Enfield, CT
This opportunity offers an in-person role for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting located in Enfield, CT. The position supports students from pre-kindergarten through kindergarten, across two schools, starting immediately and extending through June 10, 2025. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 35 hours per week. This is a travel assignment that will allow you to work closely with students during the academic year (students begin August 28).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver speech-language therapy focusing on assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing to assess student needs.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations.
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and peers to support student development and communicate progress.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) licensure and a teaching certificate from the Connecticut Department of Education (DOE).
- Previous experience working in schools is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities to meet the dynamic needs of the school setting.
