A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year with a special education cooperative located in Emporia, KS. This position supports elementary school students and is designed to offer flexibility in scheduling, accommodating various candidate needs. Services will be provided onsite in either Emporia or Council Grove, KS, with caseloads ranging from 10-12 students on shorter days to approximately 50-55 students during a full week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive educational environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Kansas SLP license required
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours as needed
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners through evidence-based practices
