Location:
Primary placement in Emporia, KS (253 – Emporia school district) with an option for Council Grove, KS (417 – Morris County school district) based on candidate residence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students, typically working with 10-12 students on lighter days and up to 50-55 students on busier days.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, create individualized education plans (IEPs), and document student progress.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
- Deliver therapy interventions targeting articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and other communication disorders.
- Adapt and modify treatment approaches according to each student’s needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working with children in educational settings, especially at the elementary level.
- Strong communication skills and flexibility with scheduling to meet student and program needs.
- Ability to work onsite consistently throughout the contract duration.
