Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist – Emporia, KS
Kansas SLP Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active Kansas SLP license issued by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working in a high school setting is highly desirable.
- Must be available for part-time hours (20-30 hours/week).
Job Description:
As a High School SLP, you will work with students who have a variety of speech and language challenges, helping them develop critical communication skills for both academic and post-secondary success.
Overview:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments for high school students.
- Develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans based on student needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress.
- Provide 1:1 and group therapy sessions for students with communication disorders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, reports, and compliance paperwork.
- Participate in IEP meetings, school collaborations, and professional development activities.
