Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Emory, TX
A full-semester opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) focused on school-based therapy at an elementary school serving grades K-6 in Emory, TX. This contract position begins in March and extends through the end of the school year in June, with options to continue through summer and the following school year based on renewal.
This role offers full-time hours with a consistent schedule, typically starting between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and ending between 2:45 and 3:45 PM. The successful candidate will provide on-site services and manage a moderate to severe caseload, working alongside two full-time therapists on campus. Collaboration with this team will help ensure comprehensive support for students’ speech and language needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy services to students K-6 with moderate to severe impairments
- Designing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual learner goals
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school district policies
- Participating in ongoing professional development and team meetings
Desired qualifications:
- Valid SLP or SLPA certification/license appropriate for school settings
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within an elementary school
- Ability to manage a moderate to severe caseload independently
- Familiarity with school-based therapy protocols and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work on-site full time
This position includes daily on-site responsibilities during the school day with no teletherapy. Interviews are conducted via Zoom Monday through Friday.
