Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Quitman, Texas
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Quitman, TX, serving students from kindergarten through 6th grade. This contract position offers consistent hours from approximately 7:30-8:00 AM until 2:45-3:45 PM at one school site, providing a focused and stable work environment. The role begins in March and extends through the end of the school year in June, with opportunities for summer work and renewal for the following school year.
This on-site position involves managing a moderate to severe caseload, working closely alongside two other full-time therapists on campus, fostering a collaborative team approach. The SLP may work up to 40 hours per week, with the potential to deliver specialized services tailored to the developmental needs of pediatric students in a school setting.
Key qualifications and experience desired include:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC preferred)
- Experience in school and pediatric therapy settings
- Comfort with moderate to severe speech and language cases
- Background in teletherapy is advantageous but the position is on-site
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or equivalent is welcomed
- Experience working with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) in educational or healthcare environments
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments for K-6 students
- Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers and other therapists to support student progress
- Documenting services and maintaining compliance with educational requirements
