A full-time Speech Therapist is needed for a K-12 school located in Elgin, IL, for the contract school year (CSY). This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse student population across all grade levels in a dynamic educational setting. The position requires experience and skills in pediatric speech-language pathology within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet each student’s needs and educational goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license.
- Provisional Educator License (PEL) required.
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills in pediatric speech therapy and comprehensive understanding of educational speech-language pathology.
