Travel School Speech Language Pathologist - Elmira, New York
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available to serve PreK and elementary school students in the Western Region of New York, specifically covering Hornell and Bath school districts. This onsite role offers a travel opportunity as you will support both locations within a regional educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy for PreK and elementary caseloads
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with state regulations
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to support communication development in diverse learners
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Holds Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification
- Experience working in school-based settings with young children preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
Location and Work Environment:
- Position is located in Elmira, NY region with travel between Hornell and Bath school districts
- Onsite work required within school facilities in both communities
