This contract opportunity runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, offering consistent daytime hours. As part of a dedicated special education team, you'll help children ages 3–5 access quality education and communication services in early childhood special education (ECSE) programs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Prior experience in a school, early childhood, or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Background working with ECSE or early intervention populations (ages 3–5) a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to ECSE students
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment goals, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Attend meetings, provide input for IEPs, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Offer consultation and training to staff and families as needed
Work Details:
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Consistent school-day hours for a healthy work-life balance
- Work within a supportive ECSE program, facilitating positive outcomes for young children
