Speech Therapist in Elk River, MN
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting located in Elk River, MN. This contract position runs from February 14th through the end of the school year, serving students in grades K-2. This role involves working onsite three days per week, approximately 24 hours total.
The caseload currently includes about 40 students, all with articulation goals, though this number may adjust as some students might be moved. The position offers a chance to work closely with young learners to support their speech and communication development within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide therapy primarily focusing on articulation
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure with relevant certification (SLP - CCC preferred)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially K-2 students
- Strong skills in articulation therapy and related speech-language interventions
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize time effectively
- Clear and effective communication skills
