School-Based SLP | Elk River, Minnesota
A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a K-12 school setting located in Elk River, MN. This role focuses on providing essential speech and language therapy services, helping students effectively communicate and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students of varying ages and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and reports.
- Monitor and adjust treatment strategies based on student response and progress.
- Participate in team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working within K-12 school environments.
- Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders affecting school-aged children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to maintain confidential records and comply with professional standards.
