A Speech Language Pathologist role is available for a school-based contract position located in Elk Grove, CA. This position offers part-time hours, approximately 16 to 20 hours per week, providing targeted speech and language support to students from kindergarten through 8th grade.

Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 20 students with diverse speech and language needs. The caseload primarily involves addressing articulation, language development, and mild Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) challenges. The role also requires conducting 3 to 4 assessments between now and the end of the school year, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and individualized intervention planning.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) certification with experience in school settings.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare contexts.
  • Familiarity with assessments related to articulation, language disorders, and mild ASD.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a part-time caseload efficiently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff.
