School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Elizabeth, New Jersey
Exciting contract opportunities are available for dynamic Speech-Language Pathologists seeking full-time roles in elementary school settings for the Fall 2026 semester. These positions begin in September and span 12 weeks, averaging 35+ hours per week. Join an enthusiastic, collaborative educational environment supporting K-5th grade students, including those within high Autism and preschool populations. All positions are onsite and offer the chance to make a meaningful impact during maternity leave coverage.
Preferred applicants hold current CCC credentials, while Clinical Fellows are welcome (please note: district does not provide direct supervision, so external supervision arrangements must be in place). SLP Assistant applicants will not be considered.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist License and valid NJ SLS Certification required
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows with outside supervision are also encouraged to apply
- Experience with school-based therapy, particularly within Autism and preschool populations, is highly valued
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to fast-paced elementary settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy for students in K-5th grades, focusing on both high Autism populations and preschoolers
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans, and track student progress
- Collaborate closely with educators, administration, and families to support students’ unique needs
- Maintain effective records and participate in IEP meetings when required
- Uphold professional standards and evidence-based practices in all therapy sessions
