School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Elizabeth, New Jersey
Step into a dynamic educational environment near Elizabeth, NJ, supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming fall semester. Starting in September 2026, this 12-week assignment offers full-time hours (35+ per week) across two elementary school settings in vibrant communities. You’ll be working onsite, focusing on K-5th grade students, including those within preschool programs and a high Autism population, making a meaningful impact every day.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active NJ SLP License and NJ SLS Certification required
- ASHA CCCs are highly desirable; Clinical Fellows considered (district does not provide supervision, but outside supervision is welcomed)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently; no SLPA candidates accepted
- Experience with early childhood and Autism populations is advantageous
- Comfortable traveling between nearby school locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services, including assessment, therapy, and documentation
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Engage with students, families, and staff to ensure communication needs are met effectively
- Support inclusive classroom environments and adapt therapeutic strategies as appropriate
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
