Speech Therapist in Elizabeth, NJ
A leading elementary school in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from Pre-K through 4th grade during a leave of absence. This contract position runs approximately from December to April, with an immediate start date and potential for extension through the end of the school year. The role requires onsite work and offers a consistent 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-4th grade.
- Implement individualized treatment plans and carry out assessments to monitor student progress.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must hold active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active New Jersey SLP license and New Jersey Educator license are required.
- Experience working in school settings with PreK-4th grade students is preferred.
- Immediate availability and ability to begin work promptly.
- Candidates must have worked in New Jersey within the last year to ensure compliance with licensing archives.
- Applicants must be able to work onsite; remote services (VOCO) are not permitted.
- Candidates should be licensed speech-language pathologists; no SLP assistants or clinical fellows.
