A speech-language pathologist (SLP) or clinical fellowship year (CFY) clinician is sought to support elementary-aged students in a school-based setting in Elgin, IL. This contract role offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with part-time consideration available, spanning from August 18, 2025, through May 29, 2026. Orientation is scheduled for August 4 and 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in participating fully in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
- Modify tasks and environmental factors to accommodate individual student needs
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as required
- Prepare clear, detailed reports following comprehensive student assessments and observations
- Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations tailored to each student
- Collaborate closely with parents and colleagues to discuss student progress and areas for further support
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Illinois state license for speech-language pathology
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to diverse student needs
