Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Elgin, Illinois
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Elgin, IL, serving an early childhood caseload. This contract role starts ASAP and continues through the end of the school year (EOSY). The position involves providing direct speech therapy services within a school environment, focusing on pediatric populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to early childhood and elementary school students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective communication intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation as per district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress to parents and team members
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support children’s speech and language development
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP - CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably within school settings (SLP - School, SLP - Pediatrics)
- Ability to provide services in-person; virtual therapy is not available at this time
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
- Candidates with Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials will not be considered
