School-Based SLP | Elgin, Illinois
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a leave coverage in a K-12 school setting located in Elgin, IL. This role provides an opportunity to deliver essential speech and language services to students within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
 - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
 - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
 - Maintain detailed records and documentation as required.
 - Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
 
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
 - Experience working in a school setting preferred.
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
 - Illinois state licensure or eligibility to work in Illinois schools.
