A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support students in a K-12 school setting located in Elgin, IL. This opportunity offers a contract position for the current school year, providing a dynamic environment to apply specialized skills in speech and language therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students across kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students’ needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students’ communication development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Monitor and adjust intervention strategies as appropriate to maximize student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with licensure meeting state requirements
- Experience working in K-12 school settings
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students and school staff
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain detailed records
