Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Elgin, IL

Blazer Jobs is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students in Elgin, Illinois. This role offers the opportunity to provide direct services, evaluations, and collaboration with a supportive district team. Both local and travel candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Packages

Local Candidates (Elgin area)

  • Hourly Pay Range: $53 – $62/hr

  • Weekly Take-Home (after estimated taxes): $1719 – $2094

  • Full-time, school calendar schedule

  • Weekly pay with direct deposit

Travel Candidates (relocating for the assignment)

  • Compensation structure includes a lower taxable hourly base plus tax-free housing and meal stipends

  • Equivalent Hourly Range (with stipends factored in): $63 – $77/hr

  • Weekly Take-Home: $1719 – $2094

  • Relocation and travel assistance provided

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to support eligibility and services

  • Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state regulations

  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student progress

  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district standards

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) (or eligibility)

  • ASHA certification (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates considered

  • Must pass required background checks and district onboarding
