Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Elgin, IL

Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school district in Elgin, Illinois. This is a full-time assignment working within a collaborative team to provide essential speech and language services to students. Both local and travel candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Packages

Local Candidates (commuting within Elgin)

  • Hourly Pay Range: $56 – $66/hr

  • Weekly Take-Home (after estimated taxes): $1944 – $2218

  • Weekly pay with direct deposit

Travel Candidates (open to relocation for the assignment)

  • Compensation includes a lower taxable hourly base plus tax-free housing and meal stipends

  • Equivalent Hourly Range: $72 – $84/hr (with stipends factored in)

  • Weekly Take-Home: $1944 – $2218

  • Relocation and housing assistance provided

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in individual and group settings

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify needs and goals

  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state requirements

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to improve student outcomes

  • Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required (or eligibility)

  • ASHA CCC preferred, CFY candidates considered

  • Ability to pass district background checks and meet onboarding requirements
