Blazer Jobs is hiring a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to support a school district in Elgin, Illinois. This full-time position is open to both local clinicians seeking a stable school-year placement and travel clinicians interested in flexible, high-paying assignments. Bilingual candidates are preferred for this role to better serve the diverse student population.
Position Overview:
As an SLP in this role, you will support K–12 students with a range of speech, language, and communication challenges, with a particular focus on bilingual and multicultural students. You will conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, provide direct therapy, and track student progress, all while working closely with a team of educators and families.

2. Travel Path (W-2 with Perks or 1099):

Flexible, short-term contracts (4–12 weeks or by semester)

Weekly pay: $52–$60+/hour, depending on travel status and experience

Weekly gross: $1,900–$2,400, including tax-free stipends if eligible

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech-language therapy to K–12 students in individual and small-group settings

Conduct bilingual evaluations and assessments, with a focus on both English and the student’s home language

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with Illinois state and district guidelines

Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to enhance student success

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
Requirements:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Active Illinois SLP License (or eligibility to obtain)

Bilingual (Spanish-English) candidates preferred

ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered

Previous school-based or pediatric experience is preferred

Must pass background and fingerprint checks
